Seated With Christ: The Forgotten Authority of the Believer

There are few truths in the Christian faith more powerful, more life-changing, and yet more ignored than this: the believer is seated with Christ in heavenly places.

Many Christians know that Jesus Christ died for their sins. They know He rose again. They know He is seated at the right hand of God. But far fewer understand what Scripture declares about them—that through faith in Christ, believers have been spiritually raised and seated with Him.

This is not symbolic poetry. It is not motivational language. It is a spiritual reality with enormous implications for identity, authority, prayer, victory, peace, and purpose.

Too many believers live as though they are abandoned, powerless, defeated, and constantly trying to earn God’s acceptance. They pray from fear instead of confidence. They fight spiritual battles from insecurity instead of authority. They live beneath the position God has already given them in Christ.
